Hi, I’m Sarah Shu, MBA. I’m the founder of Wrise Consulting and I’m a Strategic Planning Consultant.

 

I specialize in building business plans with women entrepreneurs & founders leading social impact businesses and organizations.

ABOUT WRISE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS

My background includes a career in Capital Planning & Capital Investment, where I managed a portfolio of 600 million+ dollars. I’ve also worked as both a professional engineer and sales engineer for more than a decade and was responsible for bringing a new technology to market, from end-to-end.

 

In addition to this experience, I have a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering, a M.Eng in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and an MBA from Ivey Business School. Across my career, I’ve developed a full roster of skills and experience in operations, sales & marketing, project management and business development -- which means I have the practical experience and formal training in business modeling and development needed to help you build out and take action on your business plan.

 

In our work together, we’ll work on translating your vision into a concrete business plan that includes business modeling through to cash-flow projections.

 

A business plan is an essential start-up tool; and it’s also a critical document when you’re seeking a bank loan, capital from investors, or grants. The Wrise Planning Process is specifically designed for women founders when you have a vision for your startup but haven’t yet built a business plan; or when you’re entering a growth phase and want to evaluate opportunities, benefits and risks; or when it’s time for an industry-standard business plan that helps investors, bankers and potential partners visualize and validate your projections.

BUSINESS PLANNING INTENSE

You can choose either a one day or two half-day intensive, where we work through the business planning process so that you develop these business-planning skills for yourself AND produce a useable, presentable skeleton business plan.

(Most clients choose two half-day intense. This option gives them time to digest and complete follow-ups between the two sessions.)

 

Wrise Planning Intensive (one full day or two half days)

 

  • I’ll take you through the Wrise Planning Process and teach you how to think through and document the essential elements you need to grow a business and build a business plan

  • I’ll share a repeatable business-plan builder with you that you can work through on your own, whenever you need to revise or re-strategize

  • You’ll receive a custom, draft business plan

    • 5-10 pages document or presentation

    • Covering 5-7 elements relevant to your business; Executive Summary, Business Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Operational Plan, Social Responsibility Strategy, Financial Plan, HR Plan

    • We’ll work on your business model as well as your budget, financial forecasting + cash flow

  • You’ll receive a list of custom next steps to keep you advancing in your business development

WRISE PLANNING WORKSHOP SERIES (2-3 HOURS) - GROUP

This is an introductory business planning workshop designed for a group of entrepreneurs who want to learn the basics
